What Biden's diagnosis reveals about YOUR health (no one's talking about this)

The news about President Biden's aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis took many by surprise.

While the media obsesses over the political implications…

I'm seeing something far more important for entrepreneurs, founders, executives, and business owners like you.

Something hiding in plain sight that could be the difference between peak performance and a plateau you can't break through.

And while I am not making any political statements…

Here's what caught my attention this news cycle:

Just months before this diagnosis, Biden passed his presidential physical with flying colors. His doctors gave him a clean bill of health. Everything looked "normal."

Yet, we now learn he has a Gleason score of 9 – one of the most aggressive forms of prostate cancer – that has already spread to his bones.

The fact that it was only caught at this advanced stage should terrify every high-achiever.

Because it reveals a dangerous truth…

Standard blood panels aren't built to optimize how you think, feel, or perform.

They're designed with one purpose: catching serious problems after they've already started interfering with your life.

The reference ranges on a typical panel are so wide that you can be technically "normal" while operating at just 60% of your capacity. Your doctor might tell you everything looks fine, even as your energy, mental clarity, and performance slowly deteriorate.

Yet, think about it this way: Would you be satisfied if your business was performing at just 60% of its potential?

Despite most people saying "no"... most high-achievers still accept this suboptimal state when it comes to their most valuable asset – their brain.

This pattern plays out everywhere you look in the world of high-performance:

The 53-year-old founder who dismisses afternoon brain fog as "just part of getting older"...

The executive who can't understand why her energy crashes at 3pm despite a "clean" diet...

The consultant who needs three times more caffeine than he did five years ago just to maintain focus.

This is why I've become such an advocate for performance-focused bloodwork analysis.

And, in all transparency, I was lucky enough to learn this at a relatively young age from one of my mentors: Jon Benson.

When I started working with him, he used to go to a private lab and do blood panels every three months.

I'd never heard of such a thing, so I asked him why he did it.

Turns out, Jon had a massive heart attack when he was 41 years old.  He flatlined twice and was resuscitated twice.

He learned everything he could about heart health and he watched his own numbers like a hawk.

This habit saved his life.  Because he had a base line over the years, when one number changed, for him it was like alarm bells going off.

And when he presented his labs to his cardiologist and explained the change, even his cardiologist was surprised… and they got him the immediate help he needed to avoid another major event.

Most people are lucky to do their blood work once a year, if even then.

Which brings me back to the point of this entire article: performance-focused bloodwork analysis.

Not just for prostate health, like in the case of President Biden, but for the dozens of biomarkers that directly impact your energy, mental clarity, body composition, and overall performance.

Let me highlight three critical blood markers that most standard panels either miss entirely or interpret through the wrong lens.

(Apologies in advance, as I'm about to do a deep dive health nerd review!)

Fasting Insulin

This is a key marker for metabolic health. It helps determine insulin sensitivity, which influences how well your body handles carbohydrates. High fasting insulin levels indicate insulin resistance, which can lead to fat gain, fatigue, and chronic disease.

By knowing and optimizing this value, you can maintain peak mental performance throughout high-stakes negotiations, power through afternoon strategy sessions without crashing, and sustain the creative focus needed to write compelling content or make critical business decisions.

DHEA-S (The "Stress Buffer" Hormone)

DHEA is produced by your adrenal glands and is a precursor to testosterone and estrogen. DHEA levels show us your capacity and threshold to handle stress and are crucial for recovery and cognitive function.

Low levels are common in chronic stress, burnout, and adrenal fatigue, leading to poor recovery, fatigue, and mood swings – all of which can severely impact your business performance or make it difficult to publish your first book.

When optimized, DHEA-S transforms your resilience – giving you the mental stamina for back-to-back meetings, the emotional stability for high-pressure decisions, and the sustained energy to tackle creative work even after a full day of operations.

Free Testosterone (Not Just Total)

Total testosterone isn't the full story; free testosterone is what's actually available and ready to use for your body. It directly impacts muscle growth, libido, motivation, cognitive function, and recovery.

Standard panels often miss this crucial distinction, leaving you with incomplete information about this performance-critical hormone. Crucially, typical panels may also miss other bloodmarkers that tell us why your free testosterone is low in the first place.

Yet when optimized, free testosterone can dramatically enhance your executive presence, decision-making confidence, and competitive drive – giving you that unmistakable edge that separates market leaders from the merely competent.

Look, I know bloodwork isn't the sexiest topic in the world. Especially coming from a guy who spends most his time writing about publishing, marketing and business growth.

Most executives, founders, and business owners would rather talk about scaling strategies or marketing funnels.

Yet here's the uncomfortable truth:

While your competitors chase the next business hack or marketing tactic, the real performance edge is hiding in plain sight – in your biochemistry. The most brilliant strategy is worthless when executed with a foggy brain running at 60% capacity.

What if your next breakthrough isn't waiting in another course, coach, or strategy... but in optimizing the biological engine that powers every decision, every creative insight, and every leadership moment?

Alright, today's issue is running on the long side, so I'll wrap it up.

In my next post, I'll share why the most successful CEOs I know are secretly optimizing their bloodwork – not just for longevity, but for a cognitive advantage their competitors can't match. It's a completely different approach to performance that most high-achievers never consider until it's too late.

If you want to know where you can get a thorough blood work analysis to improve your professional performance TODAY, then my recommendation is 6PackCEO (click here to get the full details).

Honestly, it's a bit of a "male centric" page.  Turns out most of their clients are men…  but blood work is just as important for women, especially as you reach your mid 40's.

Knowing your hormone profiles before you reach peri or even full blown menopause can save you years of painful joints, bloating, dry skin, memory issues and brain fog… and more.

I should know as my wife dealt with all of that before we became educated on responsible blood work habits.

Until my next message,
Travis Cody,

P.S. If you're wondering why I'm suddenly talking about bloodwork instead of authoring your own million-dollar book... don't worry. I haven't lost my mind. I've just discovered that all the positioning strategies in the world can't help if your body's biochemistry is working against you. More on this soon.
